Corporate responsibility and sustainability
The best way we can contribute to the world moving towards a more sustainable direction lies in what we do best – providing excellent business law advice. Sustainability is a critical factor in our clients' businesses and an integrated part of our advisory services. To be able to provide our clients with guidance on the risks and opportunities within the legal framework related to sustainability in a broad sense, we continue to develop our business law advice in line with this.
We are continually working to make our own operations more sustainable. We aim to reduce our climate footprint and resource use, act ethically, and contribute to a well-functioning judicial system. CLP should be a place where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed.

In our role as lawyers, we take our social responsibility seriously – we can and should make a difference. In addition to CLP having pro-bono agreements with non-profit organisations, our lawyers have the opportunity to engage in pro-bono work in individual cases they consider especially important. Dedicated lawyers are the best lawyers. In this way, our lawyers also contribute to strengthening legal security. Occasionally, the engagement also reaches the front pages of the news. The experience of contributing to promoting justice and preventing injustice is always the best reward.

In addition to legal assistance, we also contribute with financial support to non-profit organisations. We are a Partner of the Rainforest Foundation and we take active part in their work. Protecting the rainforest is one of the most efficient ways to decelerate climate change. We contribute with both financial support and legal assistance to the Rainforest Foundation. In 2024, our support resulted in the protection of 995 hectares of rainforest. In total, this saved 56,200 trees and prevented the emission of 55,000 tons of CO2. Based on our office location in Sommerrogata, this equates to an approximate radius of 1 km of forest saved from destruction.

CLP is committed to promoting positive social development by making a difference for people in need. We recognise the importance of long-term and sustainable solutions and wish to use our position to support organisations that work to improve the quality of life for children and vulnerable groups globally.
We are corporate sponsors for Save the Children, and through this, CLP contributes to ensuring that more children study and live safer lives, both in Norway and internationally. We also provide financial support to Médecins Sans Frontières, which every year provides healthcare to people affected by crises, war, and conflict. With financial support from us and many others, Doctors Without Borders can continue its vital work in saving lives and offering healthcare to those who need it most.
